Privacy policy

Business operations data entered by staff or generated by the app: cash counts, deposits, invoices, vendor payments, inventory counts, recipes and costs, payroll notes, tips, and guest and team feedback.

Account information for authorized users: name, email, and role.

Data retrieved, with authorization, from services the business already uses - including Square (sales, labor, and timecards) and QuickBooks Online (accounting reports such as Profit and Loss).

When you connect a QuickBooks Online company, Smooth Ops reads accounting report data (for example, Profit and Loss) on a read-only basis, solely to calculate the business's own internal cost, labor, and profitability metrics.

We do not modify your QuickBooks data, and we do not share or sell it. You can disconnect a connected QuickBooks company at any time, which stops any further access.

Data is stored in access-controlled databases, and access is restricted to authorized users of the operating businesses. Connection credentials, such as access and refresh tokens, are stored securely and used only to retrieve the data described above.

We do not sell or rent information. We share information only with the service providers that host or operate the application on our behalf, and only as needed to run it, or where required by law.

We retain operational data for as long as the business needs it for its records, and remove it when it is no longer needed.
